Hello,
So my new leopard gecko female had been with my male a whole 8 days when she laid fertile eggs (I know they were fertile because they just hatched!).
Nothing I've read suggests such a quick gestation. The breeder I got her from had shown me that she was ovulating by demonstrating the white shapes in her abdomen. He didn't suggest she was gravid. If a female was forming eggs at the moment of mating, could one expect a super short gestation?
Is it possible that my male impregnated her, or is that just ridiculous? Must she have been impregnated (can you use that word for geckos?) previously, at the breeder's?
Thanks for your patience with a real newbie who is passionately interested and ready to learn!
