Question about Raptors

Hello GU Folks,

I had a quick question about some hatchlings I have and what they should labelled as (morph). The mom was a Tremper Albino Jungle and the dad was a Raptor. Now the dad has 2 big red eyes and the 2 hatchlings (well 4 months old now) have normal eyes and red pupils.

Would they still be considered Raptors??

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "normal eyes with red pupils". If they have olive green eyes with red veins in them, they are Aptors (not Raptors). If the eyes are snake eye or solid, they are Raptors.

It is hard to explain and of course they do not want to keep there eyes open for a picture!! The outside area of the eye is the olive color and the veins are dark but the middle slit of the eye is red. Going to try to get a pic for you.

Thanks

Here is the best pic I could take. As soon as the camera gets close, his eyes close up!!

If you can zoom in on the eye, you will see the eye is kind of a greyish color with red veins. The center black line, when opened, is the area that is red in color

That would be the Tremper Albino causing his eyes to have the veins like that. All a Raptor is is a Red-Eyed Albino Patternless Tremper Orange so it would be het for Raptor if the full red eyes are not showing.
