Hey Guys!
So I'm a dumb dumb and got so excited when I saw a deal on craigslist for something I wasn't even looking for that I splurged and bought 6 of these!!!!! They were used for ball pythons.... 2 x 2 and it's not very tall. Anyhow....the guy said they are PVC and I had no reason not to believe him, I had him bring them to me....and to me they feel like wood.....but I didn't really decide they felt like wood until I was cleaning/disinfecting them. Maybe they are PVC but I'm used to PVC pipes and PVC fencing, which doesn't feel like wood......the guy is very short with answers back to me so I am curious if you guys know anything about these enclosures. As...I now have six of them....and I'm hoping to use them for my future leopard geckos....
My newest gecko looks like a gnat inside of the thing...lol!
Anyhow....I cannot find really ANYTHING online about PVC enclosures.....esp when it comes to heating. The guy told me briefly that I can attach heat tape to the bottom and it will radiate heat through but I cannot find anything to back up this statement.....will it without burning my apartment down??? IS PVC a good conductor of heat???
There is no brand name on the boxes anywhere so I don't even know what company made them.....all I know is what I was told....and they feel like they're wood...HAHA! HELP!
