Power outage, leos got chilly...will they get sick?

I was in another town helping someone pack boxes to move, so I left my 2 leos with someone in town to care for them. The power went out, therefor the heating pad went out. The power was out for about 7 hours or so. im back home with them, and They are both alive and seem fine. Should I worry about illness or look for signs of issues?

Good to be prepared for power outages during the winter. Temperatures under about 60*F are too cool for leopard geckos whether inside or outside. Too cool temperatures are stressful for them. Low temperatures will make Kevina and Squirt more susceptible to illnesses including URIs.

How's Squirt's wheezing: better...the same...worse?

Can you order these for power outages? The shelf life is about 2 years.

I'll definitely look into that...and the wheezing was about the same a few days ago, but seems better right now. Still keeping a close eye on then just in case. They seem fine even after being so cold for a long time. Kevina is walking around the tank right now exploring, and Squirt is asleep. She tends to sleep pretty often. Is this because she is young or just due to the medication?

Since Squirt is still having problems with breathing (wheezing), she could be getting tired faster?

What medications have Kevina and Squirt been taking? If the meds are working, Squirt should be better by now. :-( Perhaps the vet is trying to rule out issues which could cause wheezing? Maybe the wheezing is due to the cat encounter?

It would be much less stressful for your leos to keep them inside all the time. You could always exercise them at room temperatures. That would be much better than taking them outside. :)

Some GU members are very experienced keeping leopard geckos. We do our best to recommend good husbandry.

What are the ground temperatures on the warm end and the cool end?
