6-week old grandis tail injury

Hi Unlimited,

About 20 minutes ago I accidentally closed the screen top of one of my cages on a 6 week old grandis' tail. He skipped away from the lid area instantly and a moment later I saw that his tail was crooked and twitching at first, but now it is just crooked and mostly limp. I don't see a wound or anything at the moment.

What should I do? Can I do anything for him? Has anyone dealt with this?

EDIT: Here is a photo that shows what the tail looks like at the moment. His color is good and he is not extraordinarily stressed.

Yes, it's hard to see from a picture. The disturbing thing is the way it wriggles around about the point of injury sometimes.

I know nothing about this species in particular but that wiggling sounds like the tail is broken and doing what it would do if it was torn off by a predator, twitching to keep interest on it rather than the animal. I can't see anything in the picture but I am thinking its damaged internally. I have unfortunately seen this in person when as a kid i tried to catch a lizard by the tail. ( I was 6 noone told me better)

Please let us know how it goes. usually injuries like this the skin is broken too so I am interested to see how this goes and hoping for the best for the little one.
