If only I had another terrarium

Went to Petsmart today and they had small leopard geckos on sale for $20.99. They were not being cared for properly as the terrariums were in awful shape. I just couldn't splurg for the Gecko and the 20 gallon terrarium and necessaties. I hate seeing Petsmart carrying animals they dont take care of.

as heartless as this sounds, buying an animal in poor condition only makes room for another animal to share the same fate and encourages the practice.

I understand, though; it's hard to see animals that are suffering and not be able to help.

see when i breed leos i will have extra racks for geckos like that.

Instead of feeling down that you can't buy them, be their voice and reach out to the store manager and/or corporate. Chain stores I've found are alittle easier to deal with than a small operation. If you file a complaint with the BBB you are likely to get resolution even faster as they have to update the case number with the solution they've provided. Otherwise it hangs out there as unresolved and looks bad on their rating.

Their are very cheap ways to house/quarantine a gecko until you can afford whatever type of housing you desire.

Yeah, I was thinking of a Tupperware container set up with some hides and water and food bowls etc...
