Help with heating balance

Help. I am new to this and am having issues regulating my warm and cool sides of the habitat. I have a 20 gal tank with tile substrate and am heating one side with a UTH and above that is a 100 watt infa red heat lamp. I am able to get the proper temps on the warm side, but my cool side is hovering around 70-72. On this side I have been using a UV light only. Do I need to add something to also warm it up a bit more of am I worrying too much?

70-72 degrees is fine on your cool side. Your gecko knows how to regulate its own temps by switching warm to cool. As long as you have a hide on the cool side, and 2 hides on the warm side (one dry the other moist)

Also, your tank my be too small for uv light. What ive read is 5 feet long tank is the minimum for uv light, but i dont know much more about uv. Its your choice to make a change or to search more about it if you feel the need.

Yes I do have a hide on the cool side and one dry and one moist hide on the warm side. My uv bulb is just a dome type. I will definitely read more about that. Thanks so much!
