Well... My 9 month old 60gram 9" Female hadnt eaten in close to two weeks. I refused to give her a Waxworm. Here is where the problem arises and I need some experienced folks to put their minds together to help me get out of this quagmire.

I have always fed my LG Giant Mealworms (chemically untreated) and she has been a FUSSY eater from baby to adult. I keep a container of wax worms around for treats. I thought I was being ingenious and took my hemostats grabbed a giant mealworm and dunked it in the wood shavings the wax worms come in and mixed the mealworm around in the shavings good. BOOM! She eats three in a row! Sense of smell association! F**k! Did I really do myself in?

Is this irreperable?

If she's not losing weight, I would not worry. Just keep her hydrated. I offered suggestions in your post entitled: Stumped?.

I know and thank you for the suggestions. I'm wondering strictly about wax worms. I like to experiment and some ideas come back to bite me in the butt. Then again I think thats how its supposed to happen until you find a solution. I am wondering if my further association of her staple food item with wax worms is going to be a hard cycle to break?

My friend fed her boy a few waxies for his one year birthday and then he refused mealworms for three weeks. Tough love though, she held out and he's never had another problem eating since.
