New Rescue, Need Some Guidance

I picked this little guy up 2 days ago. He had been turned into a local pet store by his owner because they didn't want him anymore. I was in the market for my first leopard gecko so I brought him home. He's my 3rd reptile rescue but my first leopard gecko. I have owned lizards before though.

Luckily I had been doing tons of research and I had everything to get him set up. I just wanna make sure I"m heading in the right direction. He seems to have 2 things going on. The most noticeable is he has a very crooked spine. It's a bad angle to see it in the photos but it's bad. It really looks like his spine was broke at one point then healed badly.

His second and minor issue seems to be going on with his left eye. He seems to have an extra piece of flesh in it. He blinks that eye more often than the other.

Otherwise he seems to be in good shape. He's not terribly skinny and has a good disposition. He's been eating well for me and seems bright and alert. He was labeled as an albino, but I really don't know morphs. He's very pretty whatever he is.

Welcome to GU. He seems to be in pretty good shape from the pictures despite his problem. This is what I think:
Eye: some geckos have mildly (or not so mildly) notched eyelids which may be his problem. Look at the eye under a magnifying glass to try to tell if this is actually a skin tag, a bit of mucous or a bit of shed. If it's not a skin tag, try to remove it. If it seems that it's part of the eye and can't be removed, just keep an eye on him (so to speak) and if you see the eye getting crusty, wash it gently with clean, warm water

Spine: it's possible he may have had metabolic bone disease, though his limbs don't look rubbery now. I did produce a gecko once that seemed to have progressive scoliosis, though she was supplemented the same as the other geckos that didn't have this. Maybe that's what happened.

enjoy him.

Thank you so much for the reply.

Looking at his eye it really looks like a skin flap. His eye is still clear and not crusty. I have a boa with an eye problem so I have eye wash and topical if needed.

From what I have read he doesn't seem to have all the typical MBD signs so I'm not sure what's going on. I will keep an eye on him and continue with supplements. He's eating really well. AT first he wasn't sure about the dubias but he seems to be enjoying them now.

Just an update on the little guy(still no name). He is squinting less with that weird eye. He's also been eating well. 2 dubias and 5 mealworms every night. He's not using his humid hide but I assume he knows what he needs and what he doesn't.
