feeding a prepared food?

I was at PetSmart the other day and the gal told me that they feed their leopard geckos a prepared food that is not live for everyday maintenance. Have any of you heard of a food that you can leave in the tank that they would tolerate. I saw there were small granules multi colored I forget the name of the product but the gal showed it to me and it definitely said that it was for leopard geckos.

There are some foods like that I have seen for sale and I have heard of some geckos that will eat it but I've never seen a leopard gecko eat something that wasn't moving before so I don't recommend it.

My leopard gecko is only interested in movement. Food could be right under his nose and he wont care till it moves. They need the movement to kick in the hunting instinct. Ive seen those products as well, and just ignore them, its more of a sale move. That is another reason not to by from pet stores.

That's how I was thinking too. My gecko won't eat anything that isn't moving right in front of her! I don't think she would even know those things were there!
