What happened?

I came home to my classes today to find my gecko in an odd state. He is very dull in areas of his body, and I know its not dehydration as I have him an auto mister and it was fully functional. The temp doesn't seem to have gotten low, and he was laying on the lightly shaded part of his tank at the top of his plant. He had a breakout in spots, which I have no idea from, is something wrong with him :( ? Im in the process of sauna'ing him now

how old is he? how long have you had him?

those look like perfectly normal oil spots to me. my red girl has like 2, that show up at certain points during the firing-up and -down stage.

He was never given details to how old he was, but I have had him from about the start of December or early October, he sometimes looks pale like this when he sleeps on the lighter side of the tank, like there is some sunlight but it is not direct enough to be warm or overheat his tank

I wouldn't be overly worried as my male has fallen asleep half under a leaf and half exposed to the light. The half that was exposed was dark and the other half was lighter. Also they tend to get pale when they're about to shed.

He hasn't shed in a while, so he probably will be soon, but after i saunaed him and let him be for a while he looked fine
