Orchids in P. grandis terrarium

I have searched for this, but did not find a direct answer.

Are orchids, in general, safe to place in the terrarium? I know orchids are a huge group, but I mean the common species at home improvement stores, nurseries, etc.

Also, what do you guys think of them, assuming they are safe?

Thanks!

Some species of terrestrial orchids like the lady slipper has hairy flower stalks that could be irritating to some people. Don't know their effects on geckos though. All epiphytic orchids are safe to use the problem is that they will require a great deal of light inside the viv. Some grow too big for the conventional viv as well

what do you mean with being safe? The geckos won't be disturbed by an orchid and if the conditions in the tank are accurate, they will also flower. If a phalanopsis fits in a Madagascartank is a question of the taste of the owner. I only use orchids from their origins, unfortunately they are quite hard to recieve.

I would rather be afraid that the crickets attack the geckos during night than that they are poisened. I usually feed the crickets in a glass for this reason.

I'll start putting my crickets in something.

Thank you for your replies Aliza and Josua.
