Heat Mat Difficulty

I got a Flukers heat mat today and taped it to the bottom of my terrarium [soon to be leopard gecko home!] but when I was finished getting it on, it was drooping down a centimeter or two. I taped it on the edges, is it ok if it droops down some, or is there anything I can do to fix it?:?

In addition to securing the Fluker's heat mat around the edges, I would also make little rolls of tape and stick those rolls between the glass and the mat. It's important for the heat mat to fit as close as possible to the glass.

Here's a picture kholtme took. Can you see those little tape rolls?

If you use tile or slate place a thin layer of washed sand between the tiles and the glass bottom. This will also help avoid "cool spots".

Ok, thanks! Also I'm using paper towel for now but I'm going to get tile soon, so thanks for the tip:D

One of my tanks had a sagging heat mat so I placed a piece of stiff but pliable fiber glass insultation on the shelf and rested the tank on top of it in a way that it pushed the heat mat back against the glass. The goal is to keep as much contact between the mat and glass as possible.
