You can clean the tank with a 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water solution. It's the safest and takes the least amount of time to gas off.

I also use this method.
The guys at local pet store had no problem taking him back... they are able to keep a better eye on him and have experience with them...this was my first one...now I got this Lil guy I was hoping sumone would be able to tell what this one is...I only Snaped a quick photo since I just got um and didn't want to bug him...he didn't show up as nice in pics as the red but he has beautiful rich color in person ..so anyone know what he is?

oh, and if you were asking for a disinfectant to use between different animals in the same cage, vinegar and water doesn't even come close to effective. it's a good solution for routine maintenance cleaning, but will not kill many viruses, bacteria, or parasites that geckos can harbor.

Definitely male. And wow! He's a gorgeous kid. Definitely jealous that you have him.
He's looking like a possible Tri-color. I'd need to see more of the sides to determine if there's enough of a third color to make him a Tri-color.
