Infertile egg?

I was checking on my one-day old crested gecko eggs, and I noticed that one of them had gone from a healthy, full egg to an egg with sunken sides overnight! Was this egg infertile all along?

Also, I accidentally dropped the healthy egg from about 3-5 inches onto my hand.... It looks normal and the red "cheerio" is present when I candle... Will that have hurt the embryo? I feel terrible about it. Luckily, I pencilled a line onto the side beforehand, so it is facing up the right way.

Here's the sunken-in egg...

The egg is shrunken because it needs hydration. It could be infertile but I would leave it until you're sure it's bad and molded over. Viable eggs will get a white kind of fuzzy mold but you can just wipe it off. I would hang onto this egg for a bit and get some more moisture on your incubation medium. It looks like it still could be viable.
Was this your female's first season? They tend to have a few eggs come out infertile with their first season. She'll get the hang of it soon.
The other egg that you rotated/dropped a bit should be fine as long as you return it to the proper side facing up. It's not recommended to handle eggs all that often as accidents like that can happen. If you see your little "cheerio" then the egg is all good. Just let it cook. :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad I kept the egg... lol. This is her first season as far as I know, she had laid one infertile egg at some point in October, it was really skinny and poorly calcified, then it went moldy.

I'll keep an eye on that egg, I wasn't planning on chucking it until it got moldy, even though I don't see any "cheerio" in that one. Luckily I had pencilled a line onto the egg before the incident... lol.
