So my mom went to Big Als to get stuff for her tank today. I get sent this photo and i was all  as i looked at the photo closer i noticed every thing they are doing wrong. Sand for one how many they have in a little less then 10g tank. I dont know how a store that says there a reptile store can let it get this bad. Mom then told me it is at eye level for the smaller kids to see them. I just wish i could show this to the world so people stop supporting them and there animal abuse.

I know it's sad. I would personally go to the store and ask for a word with the manager. I would explain to him what is wrong and how to fix it (as nicely as I could manage).
Unfortunately there are places that focus on making money instead of the animals wellbeing. If the manager/owner was smart they would realize that if animals die, they not only waste their money on caring for the animal while in their shop but also loose money when the animal dies as they can no longer sell it.
I know it's sad, but the only thing we can do as keepers is try to educate.
It's a lot of what goes on here on the forums. Try to just keep calm and help out one another.

I understand how you feel, there's a "reptile specialty" pet store where I live, and they keep all of their reptiles in terrible conditions(adult ball pythons in 10 gals, baby cornsnakes in tiny critter keepers w/ no heat, Leos 4 to a 10 gal and on sand, etc) I do wish there was a way to let people know how bad petstores really are to their animals. :cIMG_20160205_162910677.jpgIMG_20160205_163012199.jpg
