Here is what the owner says about the lights, when I asked. It's pretty ambiguous, really....
"there are 2 bulbs in the fixture, one is 6 months old (still good) and another one is 12 months (can be replaced even though i didn't use it during the summer, it still has some juice left) I use exo terra and zoomed bulbs, both are good brands. I was giving them some supplements including calcium and vitamin D when they were babies but they are almost adults now and don't need any of this if you stick to good brands like Pangea.
