Crickets

How would you introduce crickets to a crestie? Would you just put him in another container with a couple and see what happens?

They should know what crickets are, unless it is a new hatchling or a gecko raised on something else. Try getting a pair of feeding tongs, grab a cricket and hold it up to him/her. Get a pair of tongs with rubber coated tips so it wont hurt itself when they pounce. You can also try leaving in a couple crickets, but they may bite the gecko.

I generally like to feed crickets in a separate enclosure, just to avoid any issues with possible impaction.
Generally my adults seem to ignore insects though. :)

I keep my crestie in his enclosure for feeding. He's had more crickets than Pangea-type foods since I got him in 2007. To lessen impaction risks from Eco Earth's coco fiber substrate I cut off the back legs of crickets right below the "knees" and place them in ~8 ounce feeding dishes like these:

My mature crestie does not seem to mind that his dish is on the ground.
