Can I use any compact fluorescent bulb without UVB?
If i use a regular incadescent bulb temperature will go up.

Gecko is a room with low light and think she needs some light.

Or should I use the UVB one
When you post "new" topics without any background, most of us don't know what has been covered in the past. Time is too precious to repeat what already may have been shared. :)

I'd like to make a suggestion. Let's create a single thread in the leo husbandry sub-forum to share all your questions.

Click: http://www.geckosunlimited.com/community/leopard-geckos-husbandry-housing-and-heating/

Then all your questions will be "On Topic", since most everything is related to husbandry.

thanks go ahead. Let me know your thoughts on a regular fluorescent bulb
I am not a mod. Maybe admin Hilde will merge your threads. It may be easier just to begin a new thread and stick with it.

A gecko enclosure is a micro-environment.
  • What are it's dimensions?
  • How are you heating it?
  • What size is the UTH?
Compact fluorescents bulbs come in multiple wattages.

The photoperiod bulb I use on my 30 inch long leo enclosure (30 x 12 x 12 inches) is a 15 watt incandescent bulb that I dim to half power. Still it is shaded by a tall silk palm in the center of the enclosure. That bulb does not have any significant effect on overall temps.
