Sorry for not replying sooner!
I've come to a decision of what I am going to do now after quite a bit of thought. I've looked at the light given off by the night Glo bulbs and it is very minimal, so I don't think that it will cause disturbance issues. However, To ensure this isn't a problem, I'm going to put it on a timer so that it goes off three hours into the night and comes on four hours before 'lights on' in the morning. This will cut the 11 hours of being un-heated to just 4, which will more closely mimic the natural dip in temperature throughout the middle of the night and will also give a good window of absolute darkness.
The minimal amount of light these bulbs produce, I do believe, is actually a LOT dimmer than most night light bulbs and having it on in such a regime will mimic sun rise and sun set as well as the gentle glow of the moon. Of course, I can change it if there is an issue, but it seems a good plan on paper!
