Hello everyone!! Norbert is shedding! It doesn't look normal, it is really shreddy and crispy. It isn't like the normal, moist chunks Norbert normally sheds. I made his tank a lot moister, and gave him a tiny bath to help moisten him up. Is there anything else I can do to help him? Does it hurt them to shed? Does it hurt them if you help them pull it off?

It doesn't hurt him to shed and it doesn't hurt him if you pull it off (which is a good idea). You may need several sessions if he gets too squirmy.

Okay! I think I started to help him to early, which made him stress out a little. I got his back and face, but his TAIL and TOES are not coming off! I don't want to help his tail, I'm afraid he might drop it. He also HATES me picking at his toes!!! I have tried a warm water bath and Q-tips, but I will also do a sauna and rub the Q-tips on his feet. Any suggestion on the tail?

I really don't think Q tips are going to do anything. It really takes fingernails or tweezers. I hold the gecko in my lap and put a fold of my shirt over the gecko's head. Then I gently pull out one foot and do what I have to do. If you can use your thumbnail and forefinger nail to strip off the shed (after getting it wet), it should work well.

Okay! Thank you so much! The Q-tips worked for wetting and gettingbthe skin loose. I did use tweezers/my fingers to get it off. I got off most of it! :)
