Should I get a Crested Gecko or an Axolotl

Okay so, I've had a leopard gecko for about 3 years, and I'm looking to get a new lil critter. I don't really know if this is the right place to post this lol, but I'm wondering if I should get a crested gecko, or an Axolotl. Now, I have a tank for an axolotl, however I cannot use it at the moment, but I can't get an axolotl from here, so I would have to get on off the internet, annnd I don't even know where a reliable breeder would be. If I were to get a crested gecko, I would have to get a tank and all, however, I could rescue one from my local Petco. I know axolotls aren't geckos, but I'd like to know if y'all know which one would be more expensive to keep, etc. Thanks if you read all this, and for any information you give me.

Obviously, you're eventually going to have to make the choice on your own, but here are some things to consider:
--If you want to be able to handle your pet, get a crested gecko
--If you like to design nice aquatic environments and have more of a display animal get an axolotl
--Think about the kind of care you like to do: maintaining a water environment of the appropriate pH, maintaining a terrestrial environment with misting and mixing up CGD

I'd recommend thinking more about what pet you'd enjoy as opposed to the details of obtaining it since that part will be relatively short term in comparison the the amount of time you'll have your pet. I hope that was helpful.

100% agreed. Axolotls are great if you want a hands-off display pet, cresteds are generally okay with handling but not every gecko will tolerate it. Plus, I'd check around online to get your gecko, Petco geckos can come with a variety of parasites to buying directly from a breeder is often a better bet for a healthy animal.
