Gecko footprint help?

I want to get a tattoo of my cresties footprint on me, but I can't think of a safe way to get his exact footprint onto a piece of paper as a template for the artist. I obviously can't dip his little foot in ink or anything. Any ideas?

You could try to get a good picture of his foot through glass while he's on it. Then they could look at that and draw it out. I'm not sure there's really a safe way of doing it by actually getting a print directly from his foot. With a good picture, they could probably get a good drawing.
