Cohabitation

So I have a female crested gecko who is about 26g she is currently in an enclosure that is 45 x 45 x 60 has 3 caves/hideouts and basically has her own palace! My partner and I love her and want to get another one. Ideally, we would like them to live together...I understand that some people are dead against it. But others say (after quarantine) try and see how it goes if they cohabitante then great if not make sure you have a spare enclosure etc. The new crested gecko is currently 19g I understand she will need to be bigger??

- what sizes can they live together?
- any tips/advice?

Thanks

I don't think there's a significant difference between 19 grams and 26 grams. If you get the new gecko, you will have to quarantine the new one for at least a month. Based on my own bad experience, I also recommend that you have the new gecko tested for cryptosporidiosis at some point before you try them together, even if you don't see symptoms. When you put them together, watch them carefully for signs of aggression. I had a male and female crestie living together for a season without problems (except that the female dropped her tail, probably due to mating behavior from the male), but I put the female with another female later on (male was removed) and that didn't go so well.

I I just recently removed my male from my females enclosure because I found eggs. They were together for about 2-3 months without any issues but I’d like to avoid any eaten babies lol
