Leopard Gecko acting oddly towards food

Hello! It's been awhile since I've posted here.
My adult leopard gecko, Infinity, hasn't been eating much lately. He seems very interested, watching food wiggle or following my movements when I walk near his tank. But for some reason, when I try to feed him he acts like he's about to strike then looks away and ignores it. Could it just be that he doesn't like the food? Otherwise he seems perfectly fine. I've had this happen occasionally with other geckos, but not for this long.
Any help would be appreciated!

awesome leo!. just do your daily care with your gecko, sun bath, warm bath, vitamin and daily UV lighting, if there is weight loss and smaller tail (got skinny than before) you can talk with the vet.

Mine is like this too and earlier I found out that it is most likely due to brumation (similar to hibernating) just ending and now mating season has begun so he has lost appetite because he is looking/waiting for a female (don't breed him because of this). This may be the same case as yours. If he is still lookign healthy and has only lost a few grams then I wouldn't worry too much. Also, don't use any sort of lighing for heat or just for lighting because geckos eyes are very sensitive to light and having an overhead light on could cause eye damage. Also don't bathe your gecko in water unless he has stuck shed on his toes which you can't get off. :)
