Keeping juvenile in separate container within adult P. borbonica enclosure. Yes / No?

We're picking up an adult female and unsexed hatchling today. We set up an extra large exoterra for the female but have not set up a terrarium yet for the juvenile. I saw a youtube video (link below) where a keeper put his gold dust gecko hatchlings in smaller containers (similar to critter keepers) and then placed them within the adult's enclosure so they'd still receive UV, humidity, etc. but would not be consumed by the adult. Wondering if others have done this as well. Was thinking this may be a good option until the juvenile is sexable and similar size to the adult we're getting.

As long as you're pretty sure that the juvenile will be able to get the appropriate humidity and UV, it should be fine to put it in a separate container inside the adult enclosure. Another solution is to get an exoterra nano (8"x8x12 or 12x12x12). In this case I would recommend removing the background and using clear packing tape to block up the spaces where the hinges are so the juveniles don't squeeze out. I keep very tiny geckos in enclosures like this and it works well.
