Any reason I shouldn't feed mealworm beetles to my geckos?

I got some mealworms recently and several of them pupated. I separated the pupae in a deli cup and let them go. Now I have a lot of mealworm beetles and I don't know what to do with them.
I'm thinking I can just gut-load them, dust them w/calcium and feed them to the geckos. Is there any reason I shouldn't?

The only reason I can think of is that they probably won't eat them. Given the recent mealworm shortage, you may want to consider breeding mealworms. It's easy. Let google be your friend to get more info.
