stopped eating

I have had Jasper for 10 months now, he barely ate when I first got him which is understandable but recently he has refused to eat. I have no idea how old he is due to the fact he was given to me. He's very healthy, I attempt to feed him morning and night if hes willing. 2 weeks ago he shed his skin and of course wouldnt eat much afterwards..this week he refused to eat the whole time. After a week or so hes usually anxious to have food after shedding but this time is different and it worries me. I know that he sees it when I put the worm in his tank cause he'll stalk it, lick it and then walk away. I feed him super worms or any other food I am able to find at my pet store, hes also ALWAYS laying on or near his water bowl, he will not part from it and I have no idea why. This has been going on for a month. I experimented one day and moved it to the other side of the tank, he noticed and walked to that side and layed right on it again. If someone has answers please reply, thank you!

you should try a different feeder because sometimes leo's willjust randomly change what they like. Do you have a
moist hide? it sounds as though he's trying to get moisture also look for sunken eyes, discolored or runny, also look for anything in his poop, as he might have a disease. Im trying my best to answer but I've never had a sickness.

he has not pooped within the 2 weeks and thats what worries me more. I dont know if hes backed up or not. I would take him to the vet but im not going to pay a huge amount of money for what I could have done myself.

Has Jasper eaten in the last 2 weeks? How does his belly feel? Hard or soft? What substrate is he on? If you feel he could be constipated, place 1 or 2 drops of vegetable oil or mineral oil on his snout. Watch him lick it off. Then gently massage his belly throat-to-vent.

Perhaps he's seeking humidity by laying near his water bowl wherever it is. Have you seen him drink lately?

Keepers often feed leos at night and maybe 3x per week depending upon the leo's age.

Please share a photo of Jasper.
