Gecko Died. Old Age or Impaction?

My Phil died today :(. She has been with me for about 4-5 years now, and I suspect I got her when she was about a year or a year and half. I read that female geckos live up to 10 years but Im not sure how true that is. When I looked under her belly she had a black area spread out which Im not sure if it is due to just a natural causes after death or impaction. I never noticed any change in her behavior but the only thing that concerns me is that about 10 days ago I moved her and another gecko to a larger terrarium with all the same decorations as from the other terrarium. And I didn't change their diet at all in the past year. So really im just trying to figure out what this black spot under her belly is. Its bigger than a spot its more like a blob, I was hoping someone had pictures of what an impacted belly looks like so I can compare it to Phil's.
By the way the other gecko seems to be doing just fine.

I'm sorry your little girl Phil passed away. It sounds like something could have ruptured -- an internal bleed?

Did you feel her belly? Hard or soft? Is there some reason you suspect impaction: sub-par temps for a while, substrate, other. Could she have been injured by the other leo or by cage furniture? Compared to her entire underside from front legs to rear legs, what size was the darkened "blob": 1/4 of the belly, more or less?

It's not uncommon for leos to live past 15 years old. I know of one retired female breeder leo in the EU who's now in her mid-30s.

I'm happy your other leo is doing GOOD. :)
