Hello all, it's been awhile since I have been on GU!
I am considering getting another gecko, more specifically Nephrurus levis levis, however this isn't critical to my question, I am more concerned with substrate, which would be sand. However after research I am struggling to figure out the best sand I could use as a substrate, I already know calci-sands are a no go, and I am staying away from many of the unnatural sands out there due to the sharpness of the sand grains. So far what I have gathered is that I need a natural sand (So the particles are not sharp and the sand is fine) that does not clump. But I am stumped on exactly the brand to get, one I have seen reccomended repeatedly is Jurassic Sand:
However in the description it says, "Our sand clumps like cat litter for easy removal of waste and helps eliminate odors."
I can't imagine clumping sand would be good for a gecko, so I wondered if I am missing something or if people use the play sand instead of the reptile sand?
So for those of you who have geckos on sand, what do you reccomend? Thank you so much!
