My gecko laid an egg

My day gecko laid an egg. I am pretty sure it is a slug. What color should a good egg be. This one is a bit yellow and stuck to the glass

Most of the day geckos I've had have laid eggs. You're right, it's most likely a slug. Sometimes a fertile egg can look just like a slug. Often I have found that the gecko ultimately eats the egg.

hmmm funny you should say that about eating it. I came home at lunch to find it mostly missing. I thought perhaps it had shriveled up as it was attached to the glass and my mister wasn't working right this morning so it was hot and dry. but there was so little of it left I wondered if perhaps she ate it. I know they are supposed to lay two. I am going to put a dig box in in the next day or two and see if I can't get her to lay the other one.

Some day geckos are gluers, meaning that they glue their eggs to a surface, usually in the arboreal area. It's doubtful that she will dig in a lay box for her egg.
