So I found this stuff while looking for Repashy MRPs and I am wondering if anyone has ever used this (not for crested geckos, of course) for insectivore reptiles as a staple diet. They advertise it as it can take up to 60% of their diet.
Is this a good product? Can you cut in half the number of insects you have to feed to your pets?
I have a pair cresties, a pair of ringed wall geckos and a veiled chameleon, but I am planning on getting more insectivore geckos, and that's why I wanna know if this stuff is healthy and provides enough nutritional value as a 50%-60% diet.

I've never used it- in fact, I've never used any prepared insect based food. I can't speak to the nutritional aspect of it either.
However, most insectivorous reptiles and amphibians will only eat live, moving prey, which really minimizes the practicality of this sort of product. I also suspect that it's more expensive than using live insects.
However, you can probably give it to your crested geckos, especially if you mix it with their regular powdered diet. If they are reluctant to eat live insects, this product is a possible solution.
Other geckos may or may not eat it. Your chameleon won't.

I know some species only eat moving prey, but I think hand feeding could sort this problem out. The main reason I'm asking because it would be a lot easier and cheaper, than live insects (at least in Hungary) I would have to buy half of the crickets, and I could store this a lot more longer than live insects, so I don't "throw out money" for crickets dying after a few days. They advertise it as 'for beardies, chams, leopard geckos, monitors and other species'

I wouldn't give them to my cresties they do very well on Repashy and I offer them crickets sometimes, which they don't really care about.

I will buy some of this next time I order something and check if T. annularis or my veiled cham likes it.
