I have one in with my male (he eats sphagnum moss and paper towel, and will NOT touch a thin natural sponge), but since he is in an enclosed pvc cage he doesn't loose humidity as fast- one keeps it at 40-50% even on the driest cold days.
My female uses her moist hide, which has sphagnum moss, but is in a glass tank and with the heat on this winter the ambient humidity was in the teens to 20's esp on the warm side where her CHE is. These keep in in the 30's to 40's which makes me more comfortable.
Neither have had major problems shedding yet, my male would have some mild stuck shed on the top of his head and feet the first few sheds this winter - before I got these to boost humidity, and this is sooo much easier than a warm bath for him when he's had stuff on his feet.
