The only thing to keep in mind is that if you're feeding crickets, what are the chances that the crickets will drown in the water, and how much will the crestie poop in the water. If you're feeling able to keep the water part clean I don't see that it would be a problem.

Thank you, for answering back, I'm in no hurry to buy my gecko I'm still getting things together for the enclosure, plus I want to make sure I can keep the humidity and heat and uvb right for a least 2 months before I buy my lizard, that way I can work all the kinks out of my setup. Also I might denot to even get a geck even though I'm building this enclosure for one.

It could be good with a gecko, but it could also be nice with gorgeous plants and maybe some fish or other aquatic creatures. Salamanders?
