Hi guys, I am new here and am in the process of acquiring my very 1st leopard gecko! I am extremely excited and just wanted to brush up on some things.
1) Substrate I am going to use is brown Butcher Paper. It is all natural and comes in rolls of many sizes to perfectly fit any cage. The rolls often come anywhere between 900ft - 1200ft. and are only about $14 per roll! Crazy cheap, and it follows the safest format of substrate, as I've read on so many articles/sites as was the recommendation from the breeder I am buying from.
2) I love the Exo Terra cages, but they are so expensive! Is the 18x18x18 a good good size for one Leo? I kind of like the higher tank because it allows to build UP instead of just across with the longer tanks. My other option is the Exo Terra 24x18x12 which is more money, but adds more ground space.
Thanks guys and I look forward to all the discussions!
