Strange growth on Queso’s tail

Noticed this strange growth on Queso’s tail about a week and a half ago. Came about the last time he shedded.

Wondering anyone might be able to assist with telling me what it might be before I run him to the vet.

I have questions regarding Queso's tail mass.

1. Does this mass seem to be growing?
2. Does this mass feel hard or soft?
3. Are you near Seattle? One vet resource I recommend = Seattle's Bird & Exotic Clinic (206-783-4538). Tracy Bennett DVM is still there. I've been away from Seattle for 15 years, so top local vets may have changed.

It does not seem to be growing
It not rock hard but harder than soft for sure
Yes, tgat is Queso’s Vet
I will make an appointment to get him in to check this out
