I love seeing everyone's setups, and hearing inputs on what people can do better/change, so I decided to post my setup and see what you guys say  I would love to hear what I could do better if anything, or just what you guys think! Thank you:biggrin:

Left side of her tank is the warm side, providing heat through an UTH and air temps through a heat bulb, both on thermostat, right side is the cool side. Using digital probe thermometers for the warm side. Water bowl, calcium without d3 bowl, and other décor.

Oh my, some of us are at the bifocal stage of life and these pictures are therefore almost invisible. If no one comments perhaps larger pictures would be good idea.

Merissa ~

I've been looking for a hide for my leo something like your back left corner hide. Can you share a link or at least some details?

Merissa,

I'm sure you appreciate honesty and want the best for your gecko correct?:) This is what I consider minimal requirements. I don't expect you to throw everything away, however this is my true recommendation. When you can afford it, toss the fish tank and buy a nice spacious wooden enclosure. Fish tanks are horrible when it comes to heating and humidity. This can lead to problems down the line, dehydration is a huge one with leos. You will also have safe access from the front and not risk dropping items on your leo or scaring him from above.

This is actually a tetra fauna terrarium made by tetra fauna with the help of Ron Tremper. I acquired it recently as an upgrade. It is a 20L but I bit longer and taller. It has front opening doors as well as the top which I never even use. Also, I have a 40 gall breeder which my baby is going to get when I have the time to get everything for it. As for dehydration, I spray her every night to make sure she's getting water and also give her a soak every few days.

But I'm definitely open to suggestions. For my budget I try to give my animals the best, and that was recently upgrading to the 20L.

Don't worry, I don't expect you to jump and get yourself into debt. My suggestion was more as a future project you can work on slowly and be proud of. Do research on materials, heating and perhaps constructing your own enclosure vs. buying one if preferred. A well planned out enclosure will make a much healthier gecko.

Thanks for being open to suggestions.:)

I'm planning on giving my girl the 40 gallon next. I currently have a hamster in it but she's very old and who knows when she's going to pass :,( So after she does it will be home to my adult female gecko. We're getting a new addition tomorrow and we already have a 20L set up for him/her.

Do your pets and yourself a favor, take your time and perhaps wait a long time before buying any more pets. It's just not as simple as it has been made out to believe. Materials can make a difference in proper heating, not just enclosure size. Some tips that may help you in the future.

index Just so that you can get ideas. I have never ordered cages from this place. There's many other sources on the internet if you search. I had to pay someone to build mine because I simply do not have the skills.:)

The new gecko will be staying at my boyfriends, so we'll both have one. As for the 40 gallon, maybe when the time comes ill sell it and put the money toward a wooden cage. I'll probably have to have mine built as well, in not that handy when it comes to building things ;)
