Hey Everyone!

What's up? I haven't seen anyone else representing Alabama in the quick skim I did but here's a rep! I'm just getting to be a herp enthusiast. I've had a snake since around age 7 but I never was into anything else until now. Now I also have three leopard geckos and I hope to get many more geckos. In particular I would like a crestie baby in the future. As of right now, I have two females and a male and I plan to breed them. The male is an albino tremper and the two females are an enigma tang and a RAPTOR. They are juveniles and will be ready to breed in the spring xD. Anyone else a leopard gecko breeder? I'm new so any tips would be very welcome. Nice to meet all of you!

Welcome to GU! I'm also a leopard gecko breeder as well as some other species. Think carefully about breeding the enigma since enigma syndrome is hard to predict and you could end up with a lot of babies with problems. Good luck with the breeding.

Such as what? I haven't heard anything about the possibility of enigma baby problems. Would they be really likely if I bred her to a tremper albino?

Have you heard of the enigma syndrome? It results in some enigmas being clumsy, walking in circles and sometimes having trouble coordinating enough to be fed. It isn't always apparent at hatching and can start in adulthood. Gecko Time will be having an article about it in Dec. based on someone's research. If you haven't heard of it I recommend doing some google research before breeding your enigma.
