Super smart Leo??

I wasn't sure which section to post this in. But I thought I would share this.
I have had my gecko's enclosure set up this way ever since I got him.

But recently I have rearranged his two hides. I moved the bark one on the warm, and his favorite on the cool.

In the morning, I had found out he had pushed his favorite hide back to the warm side. He has done this tree nights in a row, is he super smart or just a coincidence? He has never moved his furniture around before.

What are your guys' thoughts??

Your leo knows what's best! He did not appreciate what you did :scratchhead:, so he fixed it.

  • Has your leo a water dish?
  • Have you a moist hide for your leo too?
Your leo will feel most secure in hides with small entry ways.

Recommended:
warm dry hide
warm moist hide (24/7)---Can be easily made from an opaque plastic container.
cool dry hide

I usually mist one side of the tank and he will go and lap it up. The moist hide I add when I notice he is going tl into shed, he ignores it if it's in there all the time. His tank is back to the way it was, he made it pretty clear he didn't like it haha

Misting is stressful for leos. He really needs 24/7 access to water so that he can drink whenever he likes.

A warm moist hide 24/7 is important for shedding as well as hydration in general.

The misting never touches him. I understand you are trying to help, but I posted this for fun, not to be criticized on my Leo care. He is hydrated, he is healthy, he sheds without a problem. Some people have different techniques and this works best for me and my gecko. He won't drink. standing water, only the water that spilled out of the bowl. He's a very picky gecko and he is perfectly healthy.
