My leopard gecko!

Hello!

I got a leopard gecko in October and decided to finally post here. I'm very new to reptiles (he's the first one I've owned) and have been loving the experience. Looking forward to meeting everyone here and their Leo's. Here's mine in a funny picture.

I was trying to get one like that for weeks, but really got lucky with this one. I was cleaning a few things from his terrarium and he was just standing back there licking around his eyes...so I quickly got my phone and kept taking pictures. I got a few really good ones.

Thank you! I'll be sure to ask around here if I need any help...hopefully I won't have any problems.

Funny that your Leo is named Yoshi, I was actually deciding between that and Bowser.

The leopard gecko in my Avatar was my first leopard gecko Yoshi. He's no longer with me and passed about 3 years ago but he's always in my heart. He was the start to an obsession really. I only have one leopard gecko now. His name is Numinex:

Hi JiR19 ~

A warm welcome to you and Bowser!

Enjoy your time on Geckos Unlimited. Who knows? Other geckos may catch your interest as well. That's what happened with Kelly and now Jess.

I've already gotten interested in other geckos and reptiles actually! Since I got my leo I've been looking into others quite a bit...though if I do get another type of gecko it won't be for a bit. I can see why people get obsessed with them, they're great pets!

I got a crested gecko because they don't need a heat source if your room temperatures are sufficient. Plus I converted a storage tub as his home, instead of buying an expensive aquarium.

I honestly think they're cheaper to feed and house than a dog/cat. So long as the husbandry is great, you never have too many problems with them and you don't have to let them out to use the bathroom 500 times a day :coverlaugh:

I looked into crested geckos actually. I think they're really cool, and would probably be what I'd get next. I've definitely turned into a reptile person now lol.

Crested geckos are great, hardy little things. If you ever have any questions let me know. I've got a ton at this point. They seem to be accumulated very quickly. Lol

It's pretty tempting, I think at some point I'll just give in and buy one haha. Especially if I can use a storage container...terrariums are expensive. I'm sure I have one that's big enough lying around.
