Homemade OMEM Humidification Cave Idea

I found this humid hide on amazon through one of the threads here and I seriously think it’s overpriced for its size and shipping takes a long time where I’m at. So I’ve come up with the idea of getting a planting pot and putting a terra cotta saucer that’s big enough to fit on the top then pouring water into it.

What an excellent idea, Digs!

What type saw would you need to cut the entrance?

Here are circular terra cotta hides I've seen marketed in the EU.

I think the OMEM hides come from China.

I would guess a drill would do. This is only an idea and I’ve got a humid hide I’m satisfied with in Asia’s enclosure.

I would think cutting terra cotta would be similar to cutting ceramic. For that, I use a diamond drill bit and run water over the surface I’m cutting. Be sure to wear eye protection!
