I don't own these animals or the pics. But they were so nice that I thought I'd share. These pictures of Gekko vertebralis were posted on Facebook today by Kiyofumi Suzuki.
I hope he doesn't mind me reposting his pics here. I did ask him to join the group, but he doesn't speak English very well...
I had these guys just hatch out :)
Another pair of patternless blue/green/yellow babies.
They're still going through their first shed in the pic.
The dime is just for size reference.
Kickin' off the new year right!
Here's a pic of the frame that I make to turn large fish tanks vert. The whole tank just slides inside of the frame structure. It supports all of the weight (including the bottom glass), gets it up off the floor, and changes the center of gravity making it much more stable. It also makes it...

I bought this girl a few years ago from a friend. At the time that I purchased her, she was dark gray with light gray spots and lacked any sort of red, blue, green, etc.
I purchased her with the thought that she perhaps was a true anerythristic tokay (which, by definition, she is).

Here's a good article and video interview pertaining to some recent studies on herp intelligence.
Many of us already know that our herp are smarter than people give them credit for being.
But these studies lend some validation...

Things have been kind of quiet around here lately.

It's not the greatest quality pic, but I thought it was cute in any case.

THis article is about the use of expanding foam as insulation in houses, but could be just as much of an issue with herps as well...
Losing their health and homes to spray polyurethane foam
I'm certainly not trying to start a panic over using the stuff. But it's something to consider, discuss...
The colors on this juvie are really starting to come through now and the yellow feet/knees are starting to show well. I'm pretty sure that it's a male, which is good, because I have a couple of blue/green/yellow females that are unrelated to him that I can breed him to next season. It's going to...
Just got a pair of these yesterday. Very cute and seemingly inquisitive geckos.

One of the coolest birthday gifts that I got this week...
A real Komodo Dragon tooth!
I won't say who sent it to me as I don't want anyone to get in trouble for sending endangered species pieces through the mail!
But many thanks to that person! You know who you are!;-)
