    Hard Residue in Water Dish

Not sure if this is the right place for this. Has anyone ever had a problem with keeping ceramic water dishes clean? I've noticed that after a period my water dishes have this weird buildup. It's whitish and and hard when the dish is dry, but gets slimy when wet. I wash the water dish regularly...

    New baby!!

Hello! Just wanted to post an update on how the little one is doing. Pictures aren't the greatest, but there are definitely some changes. I'm surprised by how much orange has faded out in the tail, it's looking more mottled now. And I think I'm seeing some orange starting to show in the legs...

    New baby!!

Couldn't pass up this nearly solid orange tail!!! So Super Hypo and Carrot tail, not sure on the tangerine. Perhaps more tangerine will develop as it grows? It's still only like 5-6inches, still has room to grow.

    Playful behavior??

Was just wondering if anyone has experienced a sort of 'playful' behavior with their leopard gecko, or if it's even possible to display such a behavior. I only ask because one of my leos has a habit of chasing or 'hunting' things at the glass of her tank whenever she's awake. Her tank is on my...

Good amount of roaches to start with?

I'm going to be ordering some dubia roaches to try with my 2 ladies, any idea how much I should start off with and what size? Both are adults. Also will probably consider breeding the roaches as well, any tips would be appreciated!

    40gal Tank Project

Hey guys, wanted to start a thread for my next tank set-up project. I got this 40gal tank a while ago for my two females, and I now have all the other supplies to build hides and decor. I'm going to try for a more naturalistic environment, with some excavator clay, fake plants, and some really...

    Parasite Meds

My leos tested positive for parasites, and I was just curious if anyone had success treating parasites with something called 'Fenbendazole.' It's a rub-on that my vet prescribed me, applied once every other week for at least weeks. I was just curious, so no worries if no one has a clear answer.

    Excavator clay for Leos?

I was wondering if anyone would share their two cents on using excavator clay as a substrate and building material for a terrarium environment. I'm trying to go for a naturalistic approach to my new 40gal I plan to have my two female leos live together in. I've seen some of the stuff that...

    It's a miracle!!!

A little while ago, I tested to see if my two female leos, Cocoa and Butters, would co-habituate well...and the results were more than pleasant. There were no signs of aggression at all! No fighting, no S-tail wagging, nothing. Just a lot of nose bumping, licking, and a little derpiness while...

    More eggs on the way??

Cocoa laid a clutch of eggs shortly after I brought her home. It's been almost a month since then, and I'm starting to wonder if she's about to lay another clutch. I've noticed on her sides that they are a little stretched out and pink colored, which is very noticeable considering her dark...

    Options for Worm substrate

I'm looking to get a different kind of gutloading substrate for my mealworms and superworms. I've been keeping them in rolled oats, but I've been having trouble keeping dry and clean and usually goes bad within a day. I was originally recommended to get chicken feed, especially for egg layers as...

    Say hello to Cocoa!

Cocoa went through a shed last night. Had to soak her feet for stuck shed, but everything is taken care of. Skin looks a lot better and she's lightened up a little bit. Also, she's eating like a total monster!

    Say hello to Cocoa!

I just picked this beautiful blizzard girl at the Raleigh Repticon over the weekend. This is my first time buying from a breeder, and my first blizzard, so I'm super excited! I had a surprise when I brought her home; she laid eggs! I had no idea she was pregnant. I unfortunately had to dispose...

    Post egg-laying, Tired Female?

I picked up a beautiful dark blizzard female from the Raleigh Repticon yesterday, and to my surprise she happened to be pregnant! I came to check on her after dinner and found two white eggs on either side of the tank. I unfortunately had to dispose of them as I don't have the space for more...

    MBD Suspicions, Please Help!

Nyx unfortunately passed away a few night ago. I was still in the process of treating him with calcium shots as the vet told me. I could not get him to eat for 2 weeks, yet he was still very pump and not skinny at all. I tried to wait and see if he would leave any signs of droppings so I could...

    MBD Suspicions, Please Help!

Snagged some more pictures of Nyx. Again, not really seeing anything wrong with him, he really looks like he's just being lazy and sprawled out. I may take him out of the tank later to check his underside and make sure that looks okay.

    MBD Suspicions, Please Help!

So I came home last night to find that my male Leo, Nyx, was unable to walk properly. I came to change out his water and feeding dish, and he looked like he was trying to slither around, flailing his arms to try and get them underneath himself. His right front arm seemed to fold in the right...
