Through chatting with Neil Meister, and from our own experiences over the years I have found that phantasticus typically begin to increase egglaying activity during the colder months of the year (roughly Oct-Mar). I find that ours are most active when the nighttime values begin to dip below 64. I've also found that we have a higher success rate of hatchings during the colder months as well. The hatchlings seem to be a little stronger, and they seem to make it out of the egg a little easier.
