I found my pair posing for me nicely, so I took a few pictures.

Great pics! Do you see them ever using the calcium that way?

Haven't seen them eating it from the spoon yet, but I put it there just in case.
But they like to eat small snails very much. Both female and male.

I don't have access to snails. And don't even know a thing about them. I use CGD along with smaller crickets and lateralis. Gonna add a little calcium dish in there though, why not?

My female just loves lateralis. She really prefers them over crickets.
I can't get CGD here, so they eat baby food with some calcium and vitamins added.
They both either take very small snails from forceps or pick small freshwater aquarium snails from a spoon filled with water.
The female specially goes for the snails after egg laying.

PS: You can see the aquarium snails in the spoon in this photo:
PS2: You can usually get a bunch of aquarium snails easily from somebody who keeps freshwater fish. The snails will breed very fast in the aquarium.
I keep my stock of water snails in 5 liter glass jar. They don't breed in there, but they will thrive very well solely on pieces of carrot. You just have to change the water once a week.
