I have a problem with my N. levis female, she's getting thin, couple of days ago she was 16 grams and now she's 10 grams. Yesterday she was bahaving normaly and today she's very apathetic and she eats very few. I feed her with n.cinerea roaches. She's defecating normaly but i found some sand in a extrement and her belly is hard. I use exo terra red sand as a substrate. Her cloaca area also doesn't look good. I had the same problem with my U. milii male, he was getting thiner and thiner and he died finally couple of days ago. I went to my friend who's a vet today and he told me that perhaps she's eating sand and this is a cause of this problem, but he's not too expirienced with reptiles and i don't know if he's right, all breeders are recommending sand as a substrate for n.levis and i don't know if this can be a reason. Meanwhile i moved her on a paper towel. What else can i do?
Please help me fast, i don't want to loose her.
