Decided To Breed My Leopard Gecko, Help?

But the question is... with which morph?

Gustavo is only 4 months old right now, and I will not be breeding him until next May. I'm still unclear as to which morph he is himself and I can't contact the breed for she is still out of country in Italy until Christmas. She's doing a showcase/project with some breeders she met online or something. (I barely remember her story, I was too busy admiring a little hatchling trying to climb out of a cap, and ended up knocking the whole thing of water over.) I didn't sign any paper work when I adopted him, for she is a friend of my boyfriend's mom. She decided to let me have a pick of ANY gecko in her whole home. I almost got a Blizard. But the hatchlings didn't have much personality wise... I was looking for a buddy. Not so much a breeder. I ended up chosing this little hatchling that knocked over his water cap. He instantly warmed up to me. He layed in my hand and curled up and put his head down to nap.
This is him when he was 4 weeks old...

This is him now, he's starting to turn more yellow..

When I come home from school/work, he see's me and his WHOLE body does is "wiggle wormmy" dance, as I call it. It's like he goes into a twitching fit. He's wiggling with excitement when I'm home. So I always put my hand into his home, and he crawls right up my arm. Then he snuggles in my jacket pocket while I sit on the couch and watch TV or do homework. When I call him, his head pops up. He LOVES to eat peaches. I only give them to him when he's been good. (good as in not tried to crawl under the couch) I've reversed that behavior of trying to hide with the peaches. When he starts to head under the couch, I bring out the container of peaches, and he stops dead in his tracks, turns around, and runs to me. He's my baby. Totally spoiled. He's got such a BIG personality. He eats anywhere from 5-10 crickets a day, and about 5 mealworms a day. He doesn't like waxworms, and I'm okay with that. His treat is his peaches.

ANYWAYS. Back to my original question. Some suggest he's a Patternless, but I'm not quite sure. What I would like to know is what morph do you think he is (oh! and his eyes are solid black?), and what morph should I breed him with to get the best babies?

has anyone mentioned albino or rainwater? I dont know my morphs that well but I do know the eyes being solid black would mean Enigma...

I bet he would make beautiful babies with a super hypo tangie....

pretty boy ya got there, and I love it when they're happy to see ya.. some of mine will actually jump against the tank side if I dont reach in and hold them....

Lol. Yes, Baby Gus, if I don't reach in right away (from changing my clothes or something) he chirps and climps onto his hammock and tries to climb out.

No one's mentioned rainwater. Some have mentioned Patternless Albino. I wish I could figure out a way to upload my camera phone pictures! I got a good picture of his eyes. My digital camera is currently broke. (thanks to my dumbass brother). As soon as I can post more current picture, I will. The most recent one is the second one posted. It's from a week ago, and he just shed. He's gorgeous. More yellow, with less pattern.

Thanks for the input! I'm trying to find out which morph would go best with him now, so I can hand raise the female. I like to have my animals hand raised, it makes them more lovable. My moms says I can make even a crocodile want to cuddle. =D I'm 100% love with my animals. And it clearly shows.

Morphs that look somewhat similar to him when he was a hatchling:
Patternless Tremper Albino Leopard Gecko
Patternless Leopard Gecko
Tremper Albino Leopard Gecko
Tremper Albino Mack Snow Leopard Gecko (looked an awful lot like one of these hatchlings when I adopted him at 3 weeks old)

But his solid black eyes, is that normal? Or is that a rare gene? I got him from an international breeder who usually breeds Mack Snow, Blizard, and Tremper Albino. She did give me a weird look when I chose him... Like she didn't want me to chose him. She was all "..Well. I DID say you could have ANY hatchling..." almost depressed sounding. So I don't know what's so special about my little Gustavo. Besides his personality perks. =]

Rainwater doesn't strike me with those pictures to be honest, and is definitely a patternless of some sort. As he's quite yellow, this would usually indicate the presence of albino genetics...therefore you could have yourself a nice little patternless albino too. If that was the case, my guess would be Tremper. Probably best to wait until you can get in touch with the breeder :)

Hope this helps!

It's almost impossible to say for sure which albino strain he would be. A guess is about all that you can get, unless you get the info from the breeder.
If it helps any, this is one of my Rainwater/LasVegas patternless albinos.

If your has black eyes, then chances are he's a normal patternless, no albino. However, he could still be het for something.

Just for the fun of it ... he's really just a 'big' baby. ;)

Definitely a patternless. Might be a patternless albino. Kind of hard to tell from those pics. There's a whole variety of things that you could breed with to get different results. It just depends on what you want to produce in the future and how much you want to spend on a mate.

My opinion doesn't mean much, as I'm very new to geckos, so it's quite possible that I'm wrong, but, from what I've seen, it strikes me as a rainwater. I don't know for sure, though. Either way, you have a beautiful lizard. What a cutie he was as a hatchling, too!

You mentioned that you feed him peaches... I didn't know that they could eat things like that. Do you give him fresh peaches or the canned kind? I'd love to try giving my baby some! :)

I give him fresh peaches that I soak in vitamin water. (The vitamin spray for geckos for added nutrients mixed with some water to soften the peaches). He's also quite fond of "Hawiian Delight" baby food. It's pears and pineapples or something. He rarely gets this, only when we do a weekly check-up with a local vet that lives down the street from us. I got a second opinion on his eyes from my boyfriend (I have dialation issues with my pupil, so lots/little light can alter colors for me drastically) and he said that outside they look like dark dark brown, speckled with black and almost pink lines, and a black slit down the middle. The geckos posted in reply, both of them, look just like mine.

I FINALLY GOT A REPLY EMAIL FROM THE BREEDER!!! Thank god! >.< He's a Tremper Patternless Albino het 66% RAPTOR.

She said she didn't want to let him go because he was the only one with his markings in his clutch. ? Oh well. He's mine now. =]

Anyone want to breed him in a year? Haha. I'll do it for free too. As long as I can keep one of the babies.

Well then, now that you know what he is, probably the best thing to breed him with would be a RAPTOR or at least something that's 100% RAPTOR to find out if he is indeed het RAPTOR or not.
