Less pigmentation in new tail

Sayid, my beloved male leo, lost his tail once. A new tail grew back, wich looked quite like his old tail....except; it looks as if someone has erazed the black dots on two sides! Leaving only some dots on the base of his tail and in the middle:biggrin:

Although I'm already used to his 'new look', I thought I'd share it with you guys!

It seem like if with new tail is coming out the striped morph. Maybe he is recessive fo striped.Do you know?
