Sprocket sitting silly :D

Decided to take pictures inside today, as it was raining (and hailing golf ball size chunks of ice!!!). You can see how orange Sprocket's tail it getting! It had barely any orange (though very bright) when I first got her, and now it's nearly 3/4" fiery-orange (with a few random, disappearing black spots)! She's getting bigger, putting on a gram nearly every 2-5 days! She's now at 25 grams (8 grams gained since I got her). Her tangerine and black also intensify at every shed. She somehow managed to sit up in my hand. I'm still puzzled as to how it happened. But she sat there for nearly 5 minutes and let me take pictures of her so she must have been comfortable. Silly girl.

Lol. I've seen them sit like that before. But I think it's because they can't move in that position. Kind of like when you put them on their backs, though on their back hurts their lungs.

Dagda will sit like that. It's amusing! She's very pretty, by the way.

Oh Dagda is so cute!
I had no idea leos could do that (can they really not move when like that? And how does it hurt their lungs when upside down?) Just curious cuz I've never heard that before.
And Thanks for the comments. :D

I don't know how it hurts their lungs. It's the same with horses laying on their sides, and cows, and birds. My vet just told me not to ever flip her on her back. I was trying to show him her freckle (she's got the little black spot out of no where, it's more like dark brown. Lol.) and he freaked and told me never to do it again.

Hmmm, I used to have a horse so I know what you're talking about. When lying down for a long while a horse's sheer bulk can crush it's organs. I don't think, but maybe I'm wrong, that's the same case with leos. But if the vet says don't do it, then there's something going on that's bad. Interesting to say the least- I wonder if it happens to other reptiles?

GiGi won't sit in that position for me. Lol. Her favorite position is curled around my thumb. Or tangled in my hair. Lol.
