I like to name my pets after characters out of my favorite childhood movies. My bloodhound is named Bruno after the dog from Cinderella, and my white lined gecko is named Kaiya after the wife of the lead elwin in the movie Willow (i also had a hampster named willow)
I had a ferret named Kaiya!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO my new leo I'm getting in a few weeks is a Tremper Albino Enigma female. We've named her Lorelei Scarlet. We saw "The Spirit" last night-freaking funny movie btw!!! The name of the mysterious "Death" woman was Lorelei. And Floss was played by Scarlet Johansen (I don't know how to spell her name).
SO we couldn't decide which we liked better and put the two together. We were thinking about naming her Sigourney or Dana after alien-inspired themes, but neither seemed to fit. Here she is:
OH! I forgot to mention earlier we have a Betta named Yokozuna. A yokozuna is a champion of the Japanese sport of Sumo. Currently there are only 2 yokozuna in the world-and neither are Japanese-they're both Mongolian. :fight:

CAme up w/names for our Lygos too. We had too to register them w/the European Studbook, and this is what first came to mind: Beans is the male, and the two girls are Matilda and Cleo. They were all playing tug-of-war with mealworms today, wish i got a pic.

I am almost positive you will find a Tremper enigma at the show. Just ask about its parents (if they circled/had a head tilt, etc.) and if the leo you're interested in circles or tilts its head funny. Allee has some excellent pointers on picking out a leo:
"I check many things.
Reflexes;; I pull their legs, touch their nose, tap their head, basically annoy the crap out of them. What I look for is pulling back. If they react to you touching them negatively, then they have good reflexes.
Appetite;; I watch them eat. See how they eat and such.
Fecal;; I try to get a fecal done, but if not, I look at it closely to see if it looks normal.
Color of mouth;; I tape the nose and get a quick glance inside their mouth. You want to look for bubble gum pink.
Over all body inspection;; Make sure all body parts are there. I saw Liam had a kinked tail (though, it's not genetic or ruins him for breeding) I brought it up and managed to get him for a $15 discount. Instead of $90, I got him for $75.
I also like to see how they walk. To get an idea of their calcium intake, and possible MBD.
That's all I can think of off the bat."

I just put a bunch of names up and pick the one that fits best. So many choices that I put up got destroyed by Foxy Lady in homage to the late great Jimi Hendrix. I think that it fits her very well.
